About June
In 2002 I decided it would be “fun” to attend a real estate course in the evenings and learn more about what I considered to be a fascinating topic. I could never have predicted from that simple decision that I would continue on to become licensed, and then eventually leave a 19 year career as a Customer Service Training Specialist for
US Airways to become a successful real estate agent with First Properties. My whole life I have heard that if you love what you do it doesn’t feel like work, and now I know exactly what that means. I really love what I do.
Real estate is so much more than being the person that can open the door to show a customer a house. It’s communicating with your customer to know what they want and need in a home; it’s having the knowledge to give advise about the buying and selling process that will calm their fears, educate and protect them; and it’s about always having your customer’s best interests at heart.
I was very fortunate to join The Van Slambrook Team in January of 2006 and have learned that the team concept is another great way to better serve our customers. Between Kent, Julie, Karen, Sarah, Nancy, Janet and me we not only have all the bases covered for our customers, we also manage to have a lot of fun getting the job done! And fun is another important factor that should always be part of buying and selling real estate.
Special Skills / Interests
My husband Dale and I live in The Crossings neighborhood in SW Charlotte and you’re most likely to find me out walking my dog Winston when I’m not at work. Winston is a very sweet and handsome dog that we adopted from the shelter 10 years ago and he continues to show his affection and make us laugh every single day.
From my airline days I still enjoy traveling whenever I can, reading is probably my most relaxing hobby and when I get tired of sitting still for too long you’ll find me at the mall shopping. I love eating out, being with friends, and getting to spend time with my family in Pennsylvania.
