About Julie
I started selling real estate in 1991. By 1995, I was a top agent in the Charlotte region. I love real estate because I see how excellent service and good advice can make a difference in buyers and sellers lives short term and long term. It is amazing that when you put other people’s needs before yours, how successful you can become in business. In 1998 my husband Kent joined me in Real Estate. Together as a team, our business went to a different level and we were winning awards for production in North and South Carolina. In 2004, we bought and started running First Properties of the Carolinas, Inc from our friends Sandee and John Wilkerson. To this day, I still go to both of them for advice and council. Kent continues run and grow the Van Slambrook team and I run First Properties. My goal is to provide a positive efficient environment where our agents can grow their business. I see how providing encouragement, professional environment, excellent service, top technology, new ideas, and some good advice also makes a difference in their lives. The company’s growth and success has exceeded even our high expectations.
Special Skills / Interests
Faith, family, and football sum up my spare time. My husband and I met in High School at Goose Creek, South Carolina. We started dating our junior year in college. I graduated from the University of South Carolina and Kent graduated from Clemson University. Kent and I were married in 1990 and have two wonderful daughters, Vanessa and Jackie, who attend Crowders Creek Elementary school. The girls are busy with soccer, baseball, basketball, swimming, and girl scouts. I teach Sunday school, play softball, and coach basketball and baseball with River Hills Community Church. I am a huge football fan with season tickets for USC football and the Carolina Panthers.
